Everyday, in every way, people are trying to find ways to help the environment and limit man’s impact on our climate and ecosystem. Studies show that U.S. homes produce more than 1/5th of all greenhouse gas emissions. That’s more than double what comes from the more well-known source of emissions, cars. With that surprising factoid in mind, here are some Austin City Living tips to become more environmentally conscious.

Austin is throwing numerous events for Easter 2013. There are Easter egg hunts at Central Christian Church, the University Hills Optimist Club and an “eco-friendly” hunt at In.gredients. Max’s Wine Dive is offering a special lunch buffet, the UT University Co-op is holding a day of shopping events and the Austin State Hospital Campus is throwing the 9th Annual ASH Dash 5K Bunny Run.

So whether Austinites are visiting the Easter Bunny at Safari Chump
